Levels of radioactivity have risen sharply

Levels of radioactivity have risen sharply in seawater near a tsunami-crippled nuclear plant in northern Japan, signaling the possibility of new leaks at the facility, the government said Saturday.
The announcement came after a magnitude-5.9 earthquake jolted Japan on Saturday morning, hours after the country’s nuclear safety agency ordered plant operators to beef up their quake preparedness systems to prevent a recurrence of the nuclear crisis.
There were no reports of damage from the earthquake, and there was no risk of a tsunami similar to the one that struck the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant March 11 after a magnitude-9.0 earthquake, causing Japan’s worst-ever nuclear plant disaster.
Since the tsunami knocked out the plant’s cooling systems, workers have been spraying massive amounts of water on the overheated reactors. Some of that water, contaminated with radiation, leaked into the Pacific. Plant officials said they plugged that leak on April 5 and radiation levels in the sea dropped.

US Army Reslease March 2011 Suicide Data... US marines apprently killing them selves


The Army released suicide data today for the month of March.  Among active-duty soldiers, there were seven potential suicides:  none have been confirmed as suicide, and seven remain under investigation.  For February 2011, the Army reported eight potential suicides among active-duty soldiers.  Since the release of that report, one case has been confirmed as suicide, and seven cases remain under investigation.

            During March 2011, among reserve component soldiers who were not on active duty, there were eight potential suicides: none have been confirmed as suicide, and eight remain under investigation.  For February 2011, among that same group, there were eight total potential suicides.  Of those, three were confirmed as suicides and five are pending determination of the manner of death.

 MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Lara Dutta has turned 33 today. Life has always been pleasurable for Lara but her wedding in February has lent an added happiness.

The actress has recently tied the knot with Tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi.

Lara was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh to a Punjabi father and an Anglo-Indian mother. She also has two older sisters, one of whom serves in the Indian Air Force and a well known younger sister.

Famous Comedian Babu Baral died


Famous pakistani comedian Babu Baral died in Shareef Hospital in Lahore. Few days ago he was hospitalized in critical condition.

Two weeks ago Babbu Baral got some wounds in his toes which were unable to heal due to high blood sugar. Doctors decided to cut all of his right foot fingers to stop the infection spread to other parts of the body.

Babbu Baral was suffer from high blood sugar and kidney disease for the last several years and his health was going down day by day. He is under treatment in Sharif Medical City in Lahore.
