According to a Spokesman of the PTA, till date only 16.7 million mobile SIM cards have been verified while 0.875 million SIM cards were blocked for not being verified.
He added that many more unregistered SIM cards will be blocked in coming four weeks and till all SIM cards are not registered this process of blocking unverified SIM cards would continue.
Owing to this ongoing campaign of verifying and blocking of SIM cards by the PTA have caused great panic and difficulties among the mobile phone users across the country. SAMAA
