KARACHI: Veteran television, stage and film artist Moin Akhtar has died here on Friday at the age of 61, Geo News reported.
Moin Akhtar was under treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) due to heart disease.
Moin Akhtar was a television, film and stage actor, as well as a comedian, impersonator, and a host. He was also a play writer, singer, film director and a producer.

Gold jumps to new record
Gold jumped by Rs 200 to reach record high at Rs 47,500 per 11.664 grams (one Tola) in local bullion market Wednesday, as its international price also climbed to $ 1,508 an ounce, market sources said. A leading bullion dealer said that 10 grams price went up by Rs 172 to Rs 40,714. Silver also surged to peak at Rs 1,371.14 per 10 grams.

Karachi: 16 killed in a blast
At least 16 people were killed and 35 sustained injures in a blast on Thuresday which occurred at Rami Club near Ghaas Mandi in Karachi.
Hospital sources said that at least 16 people have been confirmed dead and over 35 injured in the explosion.
Most injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, as death toll is feared to rise, said hospital sources.
