Indian cinema club was launched in Cairo with the screening of director Shyam Benegal's political satire Well Done Abba.
The Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC), which has been screening Indian films in Egypt twice a week, re-launched the cinema club with the screening of the national-award-winning film.
The screening was followed by a discussion by Nadia Gradini, an Egyptian expert on Indian movies. Well Done Abba stars Sammir Dattani, Minissha Lamba and Boman Irani.
Set in rural India, the film revolves around the bureaucratic corruption and how a group of villagers led by a young idealistic girl manage to combat it.
